Since the above happened to me about 5 weeks ago, I figured I'd post a PSA for all those beginning to ride in traffic or who still fear it. You have good reason. Dan Empfield wrote a good article regarding safety on the bike. Don't forget to remember how it should be isn't how it is. And how it is has a lot to do with whether you're safe or not. Enjoy

That was the scar on my left arm at the wedding...
Her mirror and I had a disagreement about who was going to occupy a certain area of space. My arm won that argument and disengaged said mirror from vehicle. Only problem: my bike lost the dispute with her car and I endo'd and fell on the ground. I'll have to take some pics and put them up here.
